The process:

• The treating doctor recommends a pharmacogenetic sampling kit before prescribing a specific medication. The kit can also be purchased in order to know your own pharmacogenetic profile in the event of future medication intake and to use it to choose the right medication, as this one-time test makes this possible.
  

• The patient purchases the sampling kit via the DoctorBox webshop and then immediately after purchase receives a link to make an appointment for a video consultation via the DoctorBox app. A doctor informs the patient in accordance with the Genetic Diagnostics Act and provides important information on how to correctly carry out the sampling kit.
  

• DoctorBox then sends the sample collection kit. The patient takes a saliva sample or a cheek swab according to the enclosed instructions and then sends the samples to the laboratory.
  

• The genetic analysis is carried out in the laboratory and the pharmacogenetic evaluation is carried out using INTLAB's expert system. The affected person and the treating doctor receive the results via a link via the DoctorBox app, usually within 5 days of receipt of the sample.
